Anonymous fabric banner stating Mafia Rules the County

The director-general of the Environmental Bureau cannot bear to see legal actions enforced on colleagues for executing official business, thereby personally removing the illegal fabric banners according to the law

 To maintain the looks of the county and to avoid colleagues from being sued due to executing official business, Yi-Shu Li, the Director-general of the Environmental Bureau personally removed the illegal fabric banners stating [Can you accept the county being ruled by the mafia] hung up in public areas such as the roads and bridges by anonymous candidates; Director-general Li calls out to the candidates of all political parties and the civilians, that if there is a need to express relevant appeals during the election period, one should state his/her name. Anonymous flags and fabric banners reported by the general public will be removed by the Environmental Protection Bureau according to the law.

 Election campaign banners increase as it gets closer to the election date and people often report to the Environmental Bureau; however, the Environmental Protection Bureau indicated that some of those who hung up the banners indicated that these are election campaign banners with names, and therefore belong to personal property. The 250 fabric banners recently removed by the Environmental Protection Bureau are clearly anonymous, thence the Environmental Protection Bureau proceeded with the removal according to the Waste Disposal Act, where there were no signs of difference between the so-called public or private lands according to the designated clearance areas stated in Article 27 of the act, in other words, for advertisements setup on public or private lands in violation of the aforementioned law, the Environmental Protection Bureau has the right to handle according to the law.

 Director-general Li calls out to candidates of all political parties that relevant election campaign fabric banners should clearly, evidently, and generously show the name or picture of the political party or candidate. If the advertisement violates the law, our bureau will give out a fine and proceed with the removal according to the law; those who keep their own course in spite of the repeated persuasions will receive a fine as high as NT$6,000.
